I saw a bug today. I thought about getting off of my lounger and toying with it but that seemed like too much effort. I decided a nap was more worthy of my time. Then a door opened! It opened to a whole new world in which I am forbidden to explore. I thought about making a dash for it. No one seemed to be paying me any mind. I stood up and sauntered closer acting as if I was not interested in this whole new world. The front desk hooman said, “ Bettie don’t even think about it! You’re not allowed in the waiting room!” I do not know this waiting room she speaks of. I see several thrones which I can sit upon and that everyone may bask in my glory. Oh wait! There’s that bug! Perhaps I will toy with it!
After 2 WHOLE MINUTES I am very very tired. I did not get the bug. He scrambled away too quickly. I need a nap!
It’s 11:09 am and past my lunch time. I do not know why the tall hooman keeps telling me that it is NOT lunch time. Who is she kidding? I eat at the same time every day and I am sure it is now. They are all ignoring me. Then the one that I like the best stopped to ask me what I was looking at! My bowl of course! If I did not like her so much……
Everyone has completely ignored me for probably 8 hours now I am sure. I am starving, wasting away! I have dropped several clues by meowing at them and darting at them as they came through the door. They all just dodged me! The soft spoken one says that it is now 1:00 pm (see definitely 8 hours has passed) and she is feeding me. Food glorious food!
A good deal of time has passed, the one with these fancy jaws in her hair said it was 2:30. I wonder if I can convince anyone that I have never been fed. Some of the worker hoomans have left for the day and the ones still here do not look like they are smart enough to figure it out. I ask by meowing and darting to my bowl. They have all told me no! How dare these peasants tell me no! I even rolled on to my back and showed them some tummy. The visiting hoomans adore me and I am THE only reason anyone comes here all day long. Oh well, I guess I will go clean my paws on my lounger.
